WEEK 1  MONDAY • introduced texts: “Architectural Body” Arakawa and Gins, “Chaos in the total field of vision” Brian Massumi • introduced image: “this/that” Arakawa and Gins, “The observer” Marina Abramovic and Ulay • watched video “Sound??” (1966) on John Cage and Raashan Roland Kirk • introduced meditation practice and discussed it • practiced the chair score (or “chairing”), observing the observer at Hetveem Theater throughout the entire building  TUESDAY • meditation • coexistence and observation: 2x 1hr [Pa+Ma] [Di+No] • salt water float session 1 [Sh+No] 1hr  WEDNESDAY • meditation • investigated corpse pose • coexistence of 4 during 1 hr, camera observation • coexistence with the task of moving/stillness, “longer than you think it should be” 2x 30min [Ma+No] [Pa+Di] • salt water float session 2 [Pa+Di+Ma] 1hr  THURSDAY • meditation • long talk, time for thought and reflection exchange • different relational movement game structures on “shared centers of gravity” and “tendencies looping between perceptual landingsites/hotspots”  WEEK 2  MONDAY • Task 1: keep the field empty, occupy only the periphery. • Task 2: keep other performers in the periphery of your vision, if you think a game is about to happen, join the game and play it, otherwise wait for the game to happen.  TUESDAY • coexistence of 4 during one hour, 1 human observer and 2 camera observers • investigated audience situations, points of view, observation of a thing through the eyes of another observer (indirect observation of a thing), dispersing directions of observation by creating feedback loops of viewpoint • creating architectural planes with relational strings  WEDNESDAY • moving moving • strings + 4 corners • talk  THURSDAY • talk • strings • chair field • meditation 4 corners • rotating chain, 3 positions of observation, 2 spaces  WEEK 3  MONDAY • visit anechoic chamber Hilversum  TUESDAY • visit theater space and discuss ideas • observation game on Dam square • 1 hr failed coexistence with 4 • 2 observers and 2 movers  WEDNESDAY • looped set up with 2 observers and 2 movers • discussed concepts of Whitehead: prehension, actual occasion, nexus, event, negative prehensions, extensive continuum, polyrhythmic nexus, rhythmic anarchitecture  THURSDAY • spoke about diagrams, the absence of relational vibrations in the anechoic chamber, about SHARE and CUE as open participatory spaces, watched video and thought about the difference between relational and relative movement • practiced relational walking at OT301 and outside in the park • watched video on coexistence in walking  WEEK 4  MONDAY • … I got lazy.
